Welcome to you! I am overjoyed that you have decided to take a moment and view our website. It is not by chance that you are presently viewing this material. However, God has orchestrated this before you were even thought of. What an amazing truth!!! Therefore, I pray that everything that you view will be helpful to you on your spiritual journey toward Christi-likness.

The People’s Baptist Church is a local assembly that enjoys a wonderful history. There have been several Pastors that have led this church. To the contrary, the Reverend Matthew M. Williams stands out; because of his longevity in the Pastoral ministry. Pastor and Mrs. Williams served this Church for 45 Years. During his tenure, he led the Church with distinction and placed the Church on a solid Biblical Foundation. His contribution to this local assembly will never be forgotten and will be celebrated.

This fellowship seeks to be a place where the Non-negotiables are practiced. First, this church endeavors to edify every believer. The nature of this edification is seen in a variety ways: Sunday Church School, Sunday Worship, Wednesday afternoon Bible study, and Wednesday Evening Bible enrichment. These are just a few of the growing opportunities available. Secondly, this church desires to fulfill the Great Commission by means of Evangelism. Christ calls the Church to be place where disciples are trained to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

As we venture forward into the future, mindful of those who have passed this way; we celebrate the Goodness of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am certainly honored to serve this congregation as Pastor/Teacher. It is my prayer that this Church will be a place where Biblical Truth is both proclaimed and practiced.
